A practice built on experience and trust
ProctoMed was born from the conviction that patients with proctological diseases deserve specialized, dignified and confidential care. What began as Clínica Médica Cabrera in Mexico City grew into the leading medical group in Quintana Roo.
Since Dr. Cabrera arrived in Cancún in 2003, the practice has gone through several names before becoming what it is today: ProctoMed Medical Group, with locations in Cancún and Puerto Morelos.
Dr. Victor Manuel Cabrera Narváez
A graduate of the UNAM School of Medicine, Dr. Cabrera completed his residency in General Surgery at Hospital O’Horán in Mérida, Yucatán, where he also met Dr. Suárez.
Back in Mexico City, he completed his fellowship in Coloproctology at Hospital General de México, graduating in 1998. Since 2003 he has been based in Cancún, dedicated exclusively to proctology, which has made him the reference for this specialty in Quintana Roo.
He is the only proctologist in the region who offers hemorrhoid banding and a non-surgical alternative for anal fissure, and he is also certified in High-Resolution Anoscopy (HRA).
Dr. Anabelle Suárez González
A graduate of the UNAM School of Medicine, Dr. Suárez completed her residency in General Surgery at Hospital O’Horán in Mérida, graduating in 1996. Together with Dr. Cabrera, over almost three decades she has built the strongest proctology team in Quintana Roo. Since 2003 she has focused on proctology, working as Dr. Cabrera’s surgical assistant.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Suárez earned a Master’s in Administration with a specialization in Quality, which allows her to also serve as ProctoMed’s Administrative Director — ensuring the practice runs to the highest service standards.
She offers Gastroenterology and Proctology consultations and is especially valuable for patients who need care in English or who prefer to see a female doctor. She is an expert in the diagnosis and management of anal HPV (Human Papillomavirus) infection.
